It seems these days people are in a huge rush. Everyone wants instant gratification, the quick fix to everything. From relationships to their body people want things to be easy and quick. The problem is with fitness, nothing is fast.
I feel the Biggest Loser TV show causes some of this issue for people. They see someone losing huge amounts of weight every week. In an hour someone loses 5-10 lbs and the show makes them look like a star. So people at home think not only is it doable, but it's healthy and easy.
The fact is weight loss and fitness does not happen over night or even over one month. You can't get fit and have a six pack next month, regardless of what infomercials or TV shows might tell you. The process takes time.
The best way to look at it is this; you didn't get out of shape over night. It took time for you to get to where you are. It will take time the other way. You need to grit your teeth a little bit and keep going if you want to reach a goal.
The old saying that nothing worth having comes easy, is the truth when it comes to fitness. If you aren't willing to dig down and work hard over time you can't get there. My mother used to call that stick-to-it-ness.
But the positive is that as long as you stick to it, you will get in shape and you will be amazed with how far you can go! Just trust the process and don't let little hills and valleys effect your long term plans. You will be happy you stuck to it in the end!

360fit Blog - What to Eat by Devin Sherrington
What do I eat? That's a question I get almost on a daily basis and I'm not surprised.
People are constantly confused on what to eat and how to eat. We are bombarded on a daily basis with new fad diets promising results without work, eat what you want all day and get in shape, eat only soup for a month, do only one workout for five minutes and get in great shape... The lists and claims go on and on.
Bottom line is the fitness industry is full of people trying to get rich quickly, and it's a billion dollar market place. So every day another fad diet comes out with wild and amazing claims. But most of these are complete hogwash.
Here is what I can promise you I have learn in my over 20 years of working in the fitness field, nothing comes without effort and anyone telling you different is not being truthful. There is no easy way.
When it comes to your food you cannot eat junk and be fit. It just doesn't work that way. But there is good news. Eating clean is not rocket science and with just a few small rules you can eat clean.
Here are five simple rules to follow when it comes to food.
1. Eat five to six small meals a day. This means all your meals and snacks are about the same size.
2. Make sure you have protein in every meal.
3. No starchy carbohydrates after five pm. So no bread, rice, potatoes, pasta etc. in the evening.
4. All portion sizes of protein, carbs etc should be no larger than the size of the palm your hand.
5. Eat veggies and fruit in every meal.
Follow those five simple rules and you will see big changes in your body!

360fit - Sugar, Poison for Your Body
We have all heard how bad fast is for you for years. Every food company has come out with a new way to lower fat. We are surrounded and over whelmed with low fat and fat free.
But people keep getting fatter. How can that be when we have always been told that fat is the problem and we just need to cut down on the fat?
The answer is fairly simple; fat does not make you fat. Refined sugar on the other hand, does.
Here are some frightening facts. The average Canadian eats 26 teaspoons of sugar a day. That adds up to 40 KG of sugar a year, or over 80 lbs of sugar!
Sugar works in two ways in your body. Sugar is made up of fructose and glucose. When we eat sugar the glucose goes out to feed our muscles and brain. The fructose heads right to your liver. Since we are eating so much fructose our livers can't handle it all and has no choice but to turn it into fat.
But being fat is actually the smallest of the problems sugar causes. It also is linked to cancer, heart disease and Alzheimer’s. That's right, it won't only make you fat. It will also make you sick and may kill you as well!
The food industry is well aware that sugar is addictive. That's why sugar is in so many foods. If you eat some, the sugar will bring you back and you will want more. That's good for business for the food industry and horrible for all of us!
It's high time we cut down or out all the refined sugar we eat! Our waist size and our health really depends on it.
