Ad Free Food by Devin Sherrington

Eat healthy is not too difficult if you think about it. We all know somethings are bad for us. Soft drinks, chocolate bars, etc. We all know those aren't great choices.

But when it really comes down to everthting else what is good for us and what isn't? Well I have a simple rule for food that's easy to follow.

If it has an add on TV and a company is trying to get you to eat it, you shouldn't.

Think about it. There's no adds for brown rice, sweet potatoes, apples, bananas, or cucumbers on TV. They don't have multimillion dollar advertising budgets. In fact no company pays to advertise these at all. They sell themselves.

Why?

Because we know they are good for us. We know it without having to be told they are. We don't need to read the ingredient list on the side. We don't need to company them to other fruits beside them to see which one has more sugar, or salt. We just know they are good for us!

Which takes us to everything else in the store. Those things need advertising dollars to make sure they get sold. They need pretty containers to catch your eye. They need it because they have little to no nutritional importance to us.

Heck if the company advertised it honestly they would have to say, "This tastes like a lot of sugar. It will make you a type 2 Diabetic, and make your body fat and sick"

So from now on try eating at least 75 percent of your food from the grocery store which has no ads on TV for it. I promise you there will be a huge difference.
